More than 90% of all tourism entities are small businesses, making tourism economic development a vital part of Indiana's economy. It is the third largest industry in the state.
A quarter of a million Hoosiers are employed in some sector of the hospitality industry, whether it's a lifeguard at Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana or a hotel general manager located in northern Indiana's Amish Country.
Tourism is vitally important to Indiana's economy.

More than $10 billion in tourism dollars are spent in the state annually, contributing more than $1 billion in state and local taxes.
