The Association of Indiana Convention and Visitors Bureaus annually adopts a legislative platform focusing on issues relating to Indiana's tourism industry. It is reviewed and adopted by the membership. 

The 2011 Legislative Platform focuses on three key areas:

1. Retaining the integrity and purpose of the innkeepers tax.

2. Emphasizing that tourism development decisions should be kept local.

3. Adequate funding for Indiana's tourism development efforts is vital to the state's economy.
